Immediate temporary dentures are ideal for patients who’ve had teeth extraction and don’t want to spend weeks without teeth. When your teeth are extracted, we can then place the temporary denture. So while you’re healing from tooth extraction you won’t have to around toothless. Once your mouth has healed from the extraction there are a few options available to you.
The first option: you can have the immediate temporary denture relined so that it fits well enough for to keep wearing it.
The second option: once the healing process is complete, you can have a standard or precision denture made for a long-term solution.
The first appointment is where the impressions and jaw measurements are taken as well as intraoral photography. Then your teeth are extracted, and the temporary denture placed.
The second appointment is with your prosthetist 3 to 5 days later, where the denture is assessed. You will require denture linings through the health period.
